CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a man was beaten and then fatally shot on the city's East Side Monday.
The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 2200 block of East 71st Street.
When police arrived, they found 40-year-old Gary Keaton with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said Keaton was walking to his car, when he was jumped and beaten by unknown people.
He was held at gunpoint by one person, while others went inside of his house and stole some items, according to police.
Keaton was then shot multiple times.
He was transported to University Hospitals, where he later died.
No arrests have been made.
