CLEVELAND — A 27-year-old man has been charged in a June shooting outside an auto shop that killed a 32-year-old man, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office.
Tyrone G. Crawford, 27, is charged with murder, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. Crawford is not in police custody. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Crawford is accused of shooting 32-year-old Devin Powers Sr. at Quality Car Care on Euclid Avenue on June 15.
Powers died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the medical examiner.
The shooting happened at around 3:45 a.m. Police said four people were inside the auto shop drinking and playing music when a verbal argument started, which continued in the parking lot.
A group of additional males came to the scene and shots were fired, police said at the time of the shooting.
Following the shooting, friends and family held a vigil to remember Powers.
“Everything he did and everything he did he did with love. All the time. Even if there was anger around him, there was love in his eyes and in his heart,” said Melissa Reusch, Powers' sister.
