Cleveland police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened outside a bar on the city's southwest side on March 3.
According to authorities, the shooting happened at Mandy's Bar, 4703 Pearl Road, around 12:20 a.m.
When officers arrived at the bar, they found 24-year-old Nicholas Russell laying on the ground outside with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Russell was transported by ambulance to MetroHealth Medical Center. He later died from his injuries on March 11, police said.
On the night of the shooting, Investigators say Russell and a group of other individuals were inside the bar when a fight broke out. Russell and the others were escorted out of the bar. At some point after that, Russell was shot in the chest.
Authorities didn't release any information regarding suspects or a motive in the shooting.
