A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting near Cuyahoga Community College Thursday evening.
Police said the man was shot in the abdomen in the 2400 block of Community College Drive near East 35th Street around 5:36 p.m..
Cleveland paramedics transported the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man as Stephon Smith of Garfield Heights.
The shooting is under investigation.
