A 22-year-old man who was found shot in the driver's seat of an SUV on Cleveland's east side Tuesday afternoon has died.
Cleveland police responded to the area of East 123rd Street and Superior Avenue around 4 p.m. for a report of a shooting and car crash.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Jervon Campbell unresponsive in the driver's seat of a Ford Explorer.
Witnesses told police that a vehicle, possibly an Oldsmobile, approached the victim's car at the gas station.
The suspect vehicle reportedly drove away and then returned. Multiple rounds were fired at the victim from the suspect vehicle, police said.
The victim tried to drive away but crashed into another vehicle.
Campbell was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
