Man seriously injured after crashing into RTA bus stop shelter in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after crashing into a bus stop shelter in Cleveland early Saturday morning, according to Cleveland police.

Around 12:55 a.m., a Ford Escape was traveling east on Euclid Avenue when it struck the concrete divider and RTA platform at the intersection of East 40th Street.

The Ford then drove onto the platform and struck the bus shelter before coming to rest, police said.

EMS transported the 34-year-old driver to University Hospitals with serious injuries, according to police.
