A man was pronounced dead early Sunday morning after Cleveland police said he was shot multiple times following an argument with another person.

Police responded to a call for shots fired in the 800 block of E. 140th Street around 4 a.m. Officers said they learned on scene that the victim, Mario King, 34, and another man exchanged gunfire when they fought.

The suspect left the scene, according to police. Authorities said, so far, no arrests have been made.

Members of the Homicide Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
