Police searching for driver that hit, killed man near Tremont

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at West 25th Street and Clark Avenue.

Police said a blue 2009 Chevy Malibu went speeding through a red light and hit the man.

The man then collided into a 2007 Saturn at the intersection.

Police said the Malibu then fled the scene and collided with another vehicle at Wade Avenue.

The driver and passenger of the Malibu were seen fleeing on foot after the crash.

An EMS spokesperson said a 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
