CLEVELAND — A mother and a 4-year-old boy were transported with minor injuries to the hospital after a fire broke out inside a home in Cleveland's Brooklyn Centre.
Shortly before 5 a.m., firefighters responded to the 2100 block of Kenneth Avenue.
The fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the attic of the home.
Firefighters on scene tried to save a cat by giving it oxygen but it died.
No further information was released at this time.
