The Ohio State Highway Patrol released a crazy video Friday showing police cruisers smashed by a stolen pickup during a chase in the Cleveland area.

The chase and crashes happened on Wednesday afternoon starting near Harvard Avenue and East 93rd Street and then again near Miles Road and East 175th Street.

Authorities had originally been following a stolen 2000 Lincoln Continental, but troopers called off the chase for public safety reasons.

A short time later, troopers were notified of another stolen vehicle nearby — a 2019 Dodge Ram.

According to OSHP, a trooper saw the pickup pull into a gas station and attempted to block the truck in. The truck’s driver fled the gas station by plowing into the trooper’s car.

The trooper caught up to the truck near Miles Road and East 175th and used a police maneuver to spin the stolen vehicle out. Other troopers arrived on scene, but when they got out of their cars, the truck crashed into two cruisers and sped off.

Authorities pursued the truck, but eventually called off the chase when they lost sight of the pickup.

OSHP said no one was seriously injured in the crashes.

Anyone with information about the pickup truck driver is asked to call OSHP at 216-265-1677.
