Police investigating homicide in Cleveland's North Collinwood neighborhood

CLEVELAND — Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

Around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the 19000 block of South Waterloo Road where they found a 20-year-old man who had been shot in the abdomen, police said.

The man was transported to University Hospitals where he later died from his injuries, according to police.

Police said the 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were driving in a Chevy Equinox, when an unknown person in a white SUV fired multiple shots into the victim's vehicle.

The suspect then fled the scene.

No arrests have been made.
