Police investigating multiple shootings that happened across Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police are investigating six shootings that happened between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

The first shooting happened around 1 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of West 100th Street. Police said the male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the hip.

The second shooting happened two hours later in the 11300 block of Fortune Avenue. The 17-year-old male victim was shot in the arm and abdomen, police said. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

The third shooting happened Friday near East 72nd Street and Gordon Park around 5 p.m. Authorities said it appears the victim shot himself in the leg.

Another shooting happened on Friday around 5 p.m. near East 95th Street and Pratt Avenue. The 31-year-old male victim was taken to a nearby hospital for a gunshot wound to his leg.

Around 6 p.m., a man was shot in the head near East 79th Street and St. Clair, according to police. His condition is unknown.

Saturday around 4 a.m., police said they responded to the area of East 123rd Street and Euclid Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. An investigation indicated that the shooting happened around 2 a.m. near East 109th Street and Euclid Avenue.

The shootings remain under investigation. No suspects have been announced.
