CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public to help them identity a man who assaulted a coworker at a car wash on Cleveland’s East Side.

The incident happened on the afternoon of April 9 in the 3500 block of East 131 Street, according to Cleveland police.

An argument between two men turned physical and the assailant pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the chest and stabbed him, authorities said. The man tried to run off after the attack but was detained by several bystanders before he managed to break free and flee.

According to police, the man may have sought medical attention for injuries he sustained when witnesses tried to stop him from fleeing.
