CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking the public to help locate a missing wheelchair that was stolen from a Cleveland man's home while he was at the hospital.

Police said a 20-year-old man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center on April 7. When he returned home to the 4100 block of Cyril Avenue on April 10, his motorized wheelchair was taken.

The man said his wheelchair was stored outside of his home because he did not have a wheelchair ramp to exit his home. The estimated value of the wheelchair is approximately $27,000.

Police said the wheelchair is all black and has an Air Jordan sticker on the back. If anyone has any information on the stolen wheelchair or has spotted it, they are asked to contact Detective Janet Murphy at 216-623-5218.
