CLEVELAND — A male patient who escaped the psychiatric ward at St. Vincent Charity Hospital late Monday night has been found and arrested by the RTAPD, Cleveland police announced Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday morning, Cleveland police issued an alert for Yancy Davis, 29, who escaped the hospital around midnight while a student was being escorted out of the hospital. A nurse said Davis ran and pushed the student into another person, knocking them both down through the doorway. Davis then ran out of the nearest exit and across Community College Avenue.

A nurse told police that Davis suffers from several mental health issues. He was brought to the hospital by police Monday at around 9:25 p.m.
