Extra security, road closures, crowd control and traffic reroutes are in the works as the crew of "Fast and Furious 8" gets set to film in downtown Cleveland starting Wednesday, according to the Cleveland mayor's office.
The production is scheduled for downtown through June 10.
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority will also reroute busses when necessary to accommodate the production.
Traffic officers ranks will be supplemented with police officers and traffic controllers to assist with traffic into and out of downtown and to help with pedestrian traffic.
Officers will also be detailed to the area for added security and crowd control, according to authorities.
The mayor's office lists the most notable road closures as:
May 18th-20th:
- Superior Avenue between East Roadway and East 9th Street
- East 6th Street between St. Clair Avenue and Vincent Avenue
May 21st-22nd:
- Chester Avenue between East 9th Street and East 12th Street
- East 12th Street between Walnut Avenue and Euclid Avenue
May 25th-26th:
- Ontario Street between Euclid Avenue and Huron Road
May 28th-29th
- Prospect Avenue between Huron Road and Bolivar Road
June 2nd-5th
- Ontario Street between Lakeside Avenue and Rockwell Avenue
June 8th:
- Prospect Avenue between Huron Road and Bolivar Road
June 9th-10th:
- Prospect Avenue between Ontario and East 4th Street
