A semi-automatic rifle was stolen from the home of a Cleveland police commander earlier this week.
The burglary happened at the home on East 118th Street sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday.
A semi-automatic rifle, a laptop, a TV and a ballistic vest were stolen.
Police say the rifle was personal property, not property of the city.
The commander said he was sleeping during the time the items were stolen.
The suspect(s) are believed to have entered the home through a second floor window. They left through a door downstairs.
