CLEVELAND — A 2-year-old is safe after a man stole the vehicle she was inside, according to the Cleveland Division of Police.
Police were called to the Shell gas station in the 3000 block of Carnegie Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
The mother left her vehicle running and went inside the gas station, according to police.
While the mother was returning to her car, Dwyane Hall, 40, stole the vehicle from the gas station, with the 2-year-old inside.
Police perused the Hall down East 55th Street, until the vehicle stopped at the 6800 block of Lansing Avenue and Hall fled on foot.
Hall was caught by police and arrested, authorities said.
The 2-year-old was safely recovered by police
Hall is being charged with motor vehicle theft, kidnapping, resisting arrest, and obstructing justice, police said.
