A police chase ended with a stolen car hitting a utility pole early Friday morning in Cleveland.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers spotted the stolen car in the area of East 30th Street and St. Clair Avenue and, when they attempted to stop the car, the driver took off.

The chase only lasted about five minutes and ended when the driver hit a pole in the 5700 block of Carry Avenue.

Troopers said the people inside jumped from the car and ran off.

Witnesses said that there were two or three people inside the car.

The crash was minor and did little to no damage to the stolen car.
