LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A dump truck driver hit a traffic light after failing to put down the bed of the truck while approaching a Lakewood intersection on Wednesday afternoon.
A local resident named Jason was driving when the whole thing went down and captured the moment the truck hit the traffic light on his dashcam.
The resident was approaching the Lewis Drive and Franklin Boulevard intersection in Lakewood when the dump truck driver was approaching the intersection with the bed still up.
What happened next was predictable. The dump truck got stuck underneath the extended traffic light.
This isn't the first time a truck driver forgot the basics of driving.
In April, a dumptruck became wedged underneath a pedestrian bridge on East 49th street that runs parallel to I-77.
