Jackson Township firefighters battled flames at a North Canton business on Sunday morning.
At about 8:38 a.m., the department responded to a fire at a small business at the 7800 block of Freedom Avenue NW in front of the Embassy Suites on Freedom Avenue, Jackson Twp. Fire said. The road is closed at this time.
Jacksonville Twp. Tim Fire Chief Berczik said the building was an auto shop.
News 5 has a crew on scene and captured the smoke that shot into the sky.
There were reports of smoke, and when fire crews arrived, they found the smoke and fire showing from the roof.
Firefighters initially worked on the interior of the building but switched to the exterior due to structural instability, the department said.
There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation, the department said.
