On Thursday, some Lakewood High School students participated in an Anti-ICE walkout.
Students left the building holding signs and chanting.
In a statement sent to parents, the district said, "We support our students' desire to be civically engaged."
The district said per district policy, anyone who left the building was marked as an unexcused absence.
Just last week, student walkouts took place in North Olmsted and Lorain.
