Northeast Ohio could be getting 18 medical marijuana dispensaries following a proposal from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
The Board developed draft dispensary districts after considering the following:
- Established rules and regulations in other state medical marijuana programs
- Patient populations
- Consultation with regulators in other states
- Ohio's population
- Existing compliance resources for the State Board of Pharmacy
- Access to major Ohio roadways
The Board is accepting public comment on the draft of the medical marijuana dispensary districts until August 11. Comments can be submitted at MMCPRules@Pharmacy.Ohio.gov. For more information on the Medical Marijuana Control Program, visit medicalmarijuana.ohio.gov.
