The crash happened at approximately 4:04 p.m. on Garrett Road, just south of State Route 167 in Ashtabula County.
Robert Lahman, 59, of Jefferson, was traveling southbound on Garrett Road in a Pontiac G-6 when he failed to maneuver around a curve, causing him to drive off the right side of the road, a preliminary investigation revealed.
He struck a ditch twice and ended back on the road, the release states.
