Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have seized over $27,000 in drugs in this past week during traffic stops in Ashtabula County.

On Sept. 18, troopers stopped a 2008 Subaru for following to close to another vehicle.  Authorities charged 20-year-old Mircahel R. Galiardi of Auburn, New York, with trafficking in hashish.  Troopers recovered about 300 grams of hashish worth about $13,500.

A second traffic stop led to the recovery of about 152 grams of cocaine on Sept. 21, according to troopers.

Chibuzo T. Moore, 36, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was initially stopped for a lane violation on Interstate 90.

A search of the car led to the discovery of the drugs. Moore was charged with possession and trafficking in cocaine.

Troopers said the cocaine was valued around $13,850.

Both men were transported to Ashtabula County Jail.
