NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — A 1-year-old child has died after being found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool in North Olmsted, police say.
On Monday at about 8:02 p.m., North Olmsted police and fire responded to the 4700 block of Clague Road for a report of a 1-year-old found unresponsive in a pool.
Firefighters administered CPR and the child was transported to Fairview Hospital. Police confirmed the child has died.
According to North Olmsted Police Captain Ron Cox, this incident appears to be a tragic accident.
No further information was released at this time.
