CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police are looking for anyone who has information on a shooting that killed a 17-year-old in a Cleveland Heights parking lot Monday night, according to a release from police.
Police received a 911 call at around 9:08 p.m. that a male had been shot in the parking lot at the corner of Mayfield and Eddington roads.
Officers located the victim on Mayfield Road. Officers immediately provided aid until paramedics arrived.
Preliminary information reveals the 17-year-old victim was shot in the parking lot and ran into the street on Mayfield Road where he collapsed.
Police said he had a single gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he died.
Police have not made any arrests or identified anyone of interest in connection to the shooting.
