Three adults chased down teens suspected of stealing a car, forced them into the trunk of a car and drove two of them to 4th District headquarters on Sunday, according to police.
The incident happened around 4:56 p.m. when police say two 14-year-old boys stole a car from Garfield Heights. The stolen car, a Chrysler 200 with the keys inside, had a GPS tracking device, and its owner caught up with the teens at on the 6900 block of Anita Kennedy Avenue, according to the report.
One of the teens told police that men inside a red truck and a black Nissan got out of the car and brandished a handgun, telling the boys "You stole the wrong car motherf******, get the f*** out of the car," before firing several shots at the car, according to the report.
Talking to residents, police learned the stolen car crashed into a home on Anita Kennedy before heading towards Kinsman Avenue while being followed by the red truck and black Nissan.
Sheila Beale, 49, her son Kenyatta Ware, 21, and George Barnes, 29, chased Beale's stolen car to East 80th street and Bessemer, where the vehicle eventually crashed after hitting several light poles.
One of the men in the vehicles got out and ordered the teens out of the Chrysler 200 at gunpoint, police said. The teens told police they were ordered to get in the trunk of the black Nissan, where Beale drove the teens to the 4th District police headquarters.
The three adults face charges of assault and kidnapping.
Police have not said what charges the teens will face.
