COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio — A Brunswick man was killed in a crash in Columbia Station Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on Columbia West River Road just south of Akins Road.

OSHP said Vincent A. Buccini, 30, was a passenger in a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer that was heading south when it went off the side of the road, hit a metal sign and then a utility pole.

The driver, a 30-year-old man also from Brunswick, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to OSHP.

Buccini was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Another passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Brunswick, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, OSHP said.

All three of the occupants were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred. Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
