CLEVELAND — A 30-year-old man was shot and killed in Cleveland early Saturday morning, according to the Cleveland Division of Police.
Police responded to a Marathon gas station in the 1200 block of East 185th Street in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood around 3:13 a.m.
Once on scene, police found the man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.
Officers learned that the victim was making a purchase at the gas station. Another man accompanying the victim got into a verbal argument which became physical with two additional males at the gas station, police said.
The victim attempted to intervene and was shot. One of the men entered a vehicle and left while the shooter fled on foot, according to police.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.
The suspects have not been identified, according to police.
