CLEVELAND — A 54-year-old woman was shot while walking to her vehicle after leaving a Cleveland bar early Saturday morning, according to the Cleveland Division of Police.
Officers responded to MetroHealth Emergency Room after a woman reported she had been shot and taken to the hospital, according to authorities.
The shooting happened in the area of East 93rd Street and Union Avenue in Cleveland’s Union-Miles Park neighborhood around 2 a.m.
The victim told police she was walking to her vehicle from a nearby bar when she heard multiple gunshots.
The victim looked down the street and saw people ducking, but continued walking. It took her a few steps before she felt pain and then noticed she had been shot in the back of the leg, police said.
The victim was with her daughter-in-law, who drove her to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported from the shooting.
