CLEVELAND — Angelina Jolie, one of the most recognizable faces in the world, best known for her humanitarian work and on-screen roles, came to Cleveland and visited some cool places in our city.

Jolie was in Cleveland visiting Loung Ung, a bestselling author, activist and screenplay co-writer of a 2017 Netflix original movie directed by Jolie based on Ung's memoir, "First They Killed My Father," now streaming on Netflix.

Jolie brought her son Maddox, who was celebrating his 18th birthday, to Cleveland. Ung gave them a glimpse of Cleveland with a visit to Market Garden Brewery for lunch and by making a stop at nearby Ohio City Farm, where The Refugee Response Program provides jobs and training in agriculture to refugees living in Cleveland. Jolie also visited the Cleveland Museum of Art.

In a Facebook post, Ung mentioned how she met Maddox when he was just 1 years old.
