EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation is looking into an officer involved shooting that occurred during a traffic stop Saturday, according to the East Cleveland Police Department .
An East Cleveland police officer was conducting a traffic stop on Superior Avenue when the suspect exited the vehicle and ran, police said.
While the suspect was running, he reached into his waistband and pulled out a gun. The officer then discharged his weapon twice and the suspect threw his gun, allowing the officers to make an arrest, according to police.
No one was injured in the shooting, police said.
The officer involved shooting remains under investigation.
