BEREA, Ohio — A Berea-Midpark senior has pleaded guilty to charges relating to the sexual assault of several people during a football camp.
Jabriel Williams, 18, and three juveniles were charged for their alleged roles in an incident involving Berea-Midpark students at the football summer camp, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Cleveland Police Department’s Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit opened an investigation after receiving an anonymous tip about the assaults. Berea police and Case Western Reserve University police assisted Cleveland detectives with the investigation.
Two 17-year-old suspects face charges that also include rape and sexual battery, while a 15-year-old suspect faces misdemeanor charges of hazing and unlawful restraint, according to court records.
On Thursday, Williams pleaded guilty to hazing.
According to court records, he has to testify in juvenile court against the other suspects as part of his plea deal.
Williams is not allowed to have any contact with the victims.
He will be sentenced on April 3.
