INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Do you remember Brownie the shelter dog who needed surgery?
A family in Independence adopted him.
The family's son attends the city of Independence After School Program, who collected $700 for his surgery.
Brownie gets to visit the students every week and play with the kids.
