At least a dozen bullet casings left on the ground after a man was fatally shot in a Cleveland yard

A man was fatally shot in a yard on Cleveland's east side Thursday morning.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on the 16620 block of Kipling Avenue.

The victim, Luther Moore, 33, of Cleveland, was found dead lying in the driveway from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to police.

A second victim, a 38-year-old man, was found sitting nearby with a severe laceration to his hand and wrist from broken glass as he dropped to the ground after hearing gunfire. He was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for surgery.

Witnesses told police that they heard gunshots and saw two men running from the scene.

There were at least a dozen bullet casings scattered on the ground.

The shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 216-623-5464.
