STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Crimestoppers is offering $2,500 to anyone who can help track down an igloo thief in Strongsville.

The owner of Carso Rosso Winery said his security cameras caught several people taking down the igloo during the middle of the night on Feb. 3.

The loss is a big blow to the winery, which opened just one and a half years ago.

Like so many other small businesses, Adam Zambetti said Carso Rosso is struggling right now and the igloos were one way to keep customers coming in during the pandemic.

Each one costs about $1,500 and they can take weeks to ship because the demand for them is so high right now.

"I don't know what the motivation was, I don't know if they're struggling, it's just sad when you infringe on somebody's property and their business, that they're relying on these, especially in a pandemic, it's really disheartening," Zambetti said.

Zambetti said there is one silver lining from all of this.

He said the community has really come together to support his business through this.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Crimestoppers at 216-252-7463.

Update: An earlier version of this story said the reward was for $25,000. It is for $2,500.
