Destination Cleveland created a Dad's Day guide with suggestions for a memorable day downtown and in northeast Ohio.
It offered the following ideas:
Hit the Trails: Escape to enjoy the beautiful scenery beyond Downtown. Pick up a picnic basket from the Farmer’s Market at Howe Meadow in Cuyahoga Falls and hike through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Special maps are available so picnickers can explore the area and find a special spot.

Stick with Dad: Enjoy food, rides, games, entertainment and all things duct tape at the 13th annual Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival. The free festival on June 17-19 will also feature a parade with giant floats made from duct tape, a crafts tent and a duct tape fashion show.

Hole in One: Pack your clubs and head over to one of the Cleveland Metroparks 18 golf courses. Big Met Golf Course in the Rocky River Reservation is one of the best for a challenge on the green. Spoil dad with 18 holes of golf, fresh air and cold brews.

Tribe with Dad: Take dad out to the ballgame to cheer on the Cleveland Indians. Experience 12 local foodie favorites inside the stadium. Before or after the game, let pops build his own taco at Barrio-Gateway or head over to the Beer Garden for a cold summer ale.
