EUCLID, Ohio — Three people were killed Saturday morning in Euclid in three separate vehicle crashes, two of which were hit-skips, according to the Euclid Police Department.

The first crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Authorities said Nick Trent, 43, from Cleveland Heights was driving a motorcycle west on State Route 2 when he went off the road and hit a guardrail near the Interstate 90 eastbound ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second and third fatality happened around 4:43 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 near Babbitt Road.

Authorities said that Jacob Hannahs, 26, from Strongsville was standing in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The car that struck him fled the area.

A 24-year-old woman from Richmond Heights, who was standing in the road near the other victim, was also hit by a passing vehicle a short time later. It’s unclear if she was in the road trying to help the man. The vehicle that hit her fled the scene as well.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, police said. It’s unknown if the two people were traveling together.

The identities of the three individuals weren' released.

The cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call the Euclid Police Department Patrol Division at 216-731-1234.
