FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — On Thursday, a celebration was held for a mother's battle that was finally won.
Michelle Biggins’ daughter took her own life at the Lorain Road bridge over the Rocky River Reservation 15 years ago.
"It only takes a moment for that clarity to set in and hopefully when people are in that confused state that they will take a moment and realize that they're loved and that their lives do matter," Biggins said.
After years of fighting for it, Fairview Park just installed fencing along the bridge in hopes of preventing any more tragedies.
They marked the installation with a balloon release Thursday.
