A fire destroyed a home on Colonial Drive in Cleveland Heights just before 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Cleveland Heights police tell newsnet5.com that when they arrived the fire was shooting from the roof and heavy smoke was filling the neighborhood.
Police at the scene said no one was home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters from Cleveland Heights, University Heights, and South Euclid brought the flames under control just before 4:45 a.m.
No word on the cause.
Colonial Drive is closed between Euclid Heights Boulevard and Oak Road.
