EUCLID, Ohio — Firefighters from the Euclid Fire Department responded to a fire at a high-rise apartment complex on Lakeshore Boulevard Wednesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the Harbor Crest Apartments, 24455 Lakeshore Boulevard, for reports of smoke.
Euclid fire said the fire started in a compactor, causing smoke to move throughout the apartment building, according to a tweet from the fire department.
Smoke conditions were an issue in the basement and other floors, including the 18th floor of the apartment building.
