The flu continues to hit Northeast Ohio. The Cuyahoga County Board of Health said on Friday that nine more flu-related deaths have been reported for Week 6 of the 2017-2018 flu season.
This brings the total death toll to 30 for the season.

- Euclid female: 57 years old
- Cleveland female: 58 years old
- Cleveland female: 66 years old
- Cleveland male: 76 years old
- Olmsted Falls male: 82 years old
- East Cleveland male: 84 years old
- North Royalton male: 87 years old
- Westlake female: 91 years old

2017/2018 flu season: 30 deaths (to date)
2016/2017 flu season: 21 deaths
2015-2016 flu season: 10 deaths
2014-2015 flu season: 52 deaths
2013-2014 flu season: 18 deaths
There have been 1,597 flu-related hospitalizations for the season.
"We are definitely seeing more flu than we normally see," said Dr. Jennifer Hanrahan, MetroHealth Medical Center Director for Infection prevention.
