LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A Lakewood nurse is accused of stealing drugs from patients.
According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, 43-year-old Michelle Brown stole drugs from patients and tried to conceal it by tampering with the medication.
Officials said Brown removed bottles of morphine and hydromorphone from a medication cart that was prescribed for patients of the facility. She then removed a portion of the opiate liquid and added water to the bottles to conceal the theft, which diluted the drugs, according to the prosecutor's office.
Brown has been charged with tampering with drugs, illegal processing of drug documents, drug possession and theft.
She is scheduled to appear in court on May 17.
