Multiple couples have submitted complaints to the Greater Cleveland Better Business Bureau alleging that a Cleveland limousine company took their money and then never picked them up on their wedding days.

The company is named Aqua Limo and lists an address in Cleveland.

According to complaints filed with the BBB, one couple and their entire wedding party was left stranded at the altar during their October 2015 wedding.

Several other brides and grooms were forced to pay for two sets of limousines when the company failed to return calls about a arranging the time and place of pick up.

The latest complaint came from Chad and Erica Novak who were married in September 2016. According to records reviewed by News 5, the couple and their Maid of Honor, Krista Osborne, paid $1200 to reserve three vehicles for the bachelor/bachelorette parties and wedding day.

But Osborne said that once the deposits were collected, the company stopped responding to their calls and emails.

“The owner changed his phone number we couldn’t get into contact with him and his number was out of service,” she said.

They scrambled to find new transportation and were never refunded any of the money.

“I was upset,” Chad Novak said. “I was confused especially how someone could do that to you on your big day.”

The couple learned that their complaint was one of 19 against the company in just the last three years.

Greater Cleveland Better Business Bureau President and CEO Sue McConnell said the company was originally responsive but has now left that last seven complaints unanswered.

“Now the company doesn’t even respond to us about their customer complaints,” McConnell said, explaining that Aqua Limo has received an F rating with the BBB.

Osborne and Novak said they’ve been given the run-around from different company contacts. The wedding party is still hoping to claim their deposits and to warn prospective clients about their experience.

Aqua Limo did not respond to repeated requests from News 5 for comment.
