Authorities say the altercation leading up to Power’s death following a minor fender bender at an Independence gas station on Rockside Road on Sunday.
The victim, Gary Power, of Fairview Park, was taken off life support Monday.
Video of the incident shows Power pulling into the gas station moments before another man in a dark-colored Jeep pulls in.
Both men got out of their cars and talked briefly before the younger man sucker punched the victim. The impact caused the victim to fall to the ground, where he struck his head on the pavement, according to authorities.
After the attack, the assailant went through the victim’s belongings then walked back to his vehicle and drove away, authorities said.
