Local firefighter 33-year-old Stipe Miocic takes on Fabricio Werdum for the Ultimate Fighting Championship 198, a title fight in Brazil Saturday at 10 p.m. ET.
Miocic, who works as a part-time firefighter in at Valley View, is ranked as number 3 in the heavyweight division. But on May14, he will be vying to take the title from Werdum of Brazil.
The face-off between the two will take place in the Arena Atletico Paranaense in Curitiba and is scheduled to air on pay-per-view.
Quaker Steak in Valley View at 5935 Canal Road will also be streaming the competition.
