Man, 34, killed while pumping gas in Cleveland

A man was shot and killed Monday night. The man was identified as 34-year-old William Henderson of Cleveland. 

Police were called to Prestige Petro Gas Station at 9:14 p.m. to E. 89th Street and Buckeye for a male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to a Cleveland police news release.

An investigation reveals that the victim was pumping gas into his vehicle when he was approached by a male from the passenger side of another vehicle. A struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect. The suspect shot the victim and took his money and keys.

The second suspect drove off and the shooter drove away in the victim's 2004, 4-door orange Chevy Cavalier with the license plate of GXV9570.

Officers were told the man was taken to University Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He later died.
