Maple Heights police are investigating the death of a man after he was found with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle Sunday night.
Police received a call of reported gunshots, screaming and a crash at the intersection of Friend and Paine Avenues around 10:19 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an Audi SUV that went off Paine Avenue and through some property before coming to a stop in a driveway on Friend Avenue.
Officers found 28-year-old Melvin Ephraim sitting in the driver's seat with multiple gunshot wounds.
Ephraim was taken to Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Maple Heights Detective Bureau is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
