GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A 10-year-old girl reported to Garfield Heights police that a man allegedly tried to entice her into his vehicle on two separate occasions at her school bus stop last week.

According to a Facebook post by Garfield Heights police, on Oct. 24, the girl was waiting for the school bus in the 13800 block of Granger Road when a man approached her and said, “Your dad told me to drive you to school.” The man then left when another student entered the area.

Later than day, when she was dropped in the same area after school, the same man approached her again and said, “Your dad told me to take you to the park.” The girl told the man she was calling her dad, and the man left.

On the morning of Oct. 28, the same girl was again waiting for the bus. She saw the same man parked in a different vehicle, but he did not make any comments.

Anyone with helpful information is asked to contact the Garfield Heights Police Department at 216-475-1234.
